FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR TRAINING
During this time of recession, businesses typically respond in a number of ways, one of which is to reduce training opportunities and cut training budgets.
To help maintain the standards of training within your organisation, Access Training and Consultancy Limited have identified funding opportunities for training and development.
1. DCELLS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
- Are you a company with employees working in Wales
- Are you a sole trader with a Welsh address trading in Wales
- Are you a public sector body with employees working in Wales
- Are you voluntary sector organisation with employees working in Wales
THE DCELLS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME OFFERS ELIGIABLE ORGANISATIONS A 50% FUNDING GRANT TOWARDS THE COST OF TRAINING EMPLOYEES
2. REDUNDANCY ACTION SCHEME (REACT)
Have you become unemployed in the last 6 months as a result of redundancy, are currently unemployed, and who have not been in continuous employment for 6 weeks or more since being made redundant
or
Are currently under notice of redundancy.
There is funding support available for eligable candidates:
- 100% of training costs to aquire new skills (up to a maximum of £2,500)
- Help with cost of special equipment required for training
- Reimbursement of travel costs to training
- A contibution to overnight accommodation costs, where appropriate
- A contribution to the cost of materials required for training
- Reimbursment of childcare costs (subject to limits and conditions)
3. INDIVIDUAL LEARNING ACCOUNTS WALES (ILA)
The ILA programme has been designed to assist students aged 18 or over with the fees for certian part-time courses, dependant on personal circumstances.
- Are you a resident within Wales
- Are you claiming any of the following income related benefits:
- Income Support Jobseekers Allowance, Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit or Working Tax Credit
- Have a qualification no higher than an NVQ Level 2
You could be eligable for a training grant of up to £200.00
