Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
This qualification satisfies the government requirement for teachers, tutors and trainers to hold an award for preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector. It can be undertaken by those who need an initial award for their role as a teacher or trainer in the lifelong learning sector or by those who want to teach in an FE College, tutor in an Adult and Community Learning Centre or be a trainer for a Learning Provider. Learners will gain knowledge and understanding of the teachers role and approaches to teachingand learning, plan learning sessions and manage learning.
First Aid and AED Instructors Course
This course is designed to enable the successful candidate to train and assess Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved First Aid courses and Automated External Defibrillation courses. The course is run over five days and covers two essential areas: In-depth first aid knowledge-designed to give students the extra knowledge Teaching and training practice.To enable them to train first aid effectively.
Manual Handlers (Including People) Instructors Course
This three-day course is aimed at those who carry out manual handling training within the workplace. It covers both the manual handling of objects and people. It is designed to allow established trainers to gain the necessary subject knowledge and to put this into practise.
Deliverers of Conflict Management Training
The SIA has specified Conflict Management training and assessment as a requirement for licensing for all security operatives who interface with the general public. Trainers who deliver Conflict Management training for the qualifications for Licensing will be required to hold a SIA endorsed and QCA accredited qualification in the delivery of scenario based Conflict Management.
