Customer Feeback

"The half day course for Designated Premises Supervisors was pitched at just the right level to give them a reminder of their roles and responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003. Delegates were able to interact with each other and share best practice. The content of the session also gave them a useful insight into practical due diligence procedures they could employ at their premises. The session for staff at retails outlets gave them an overview of the legislation. It is surprising that many employees do not fully understand the legal implications of the licence operating at their premises and what could happen if breaches occur. Likewise the course brought home the implications of irresponsible selling of alcohol and the importance that serving staff have in controlling sales. The afternoon session on conflict management skills showed how to deal with difficult, intimidating and potentially dangerous customers. The majority of delegates went away saying that they would now change their approach to such situations having been made aware of how their own behaviour can sometimes fail to calm things down as well as sometimes inflame a situation. The trainers style worked for all of the delegates and the courses are something we would certainly consider running again, given sufficient funding. "
